One of the things at Owen that has held true and strong is our Honor Council. The electred group of students enforces the highest level of integrity for Owen students. The self-policing system we have is anonymous and communicative. As students, we know what’s happening, but identities are protected and it truly is a jury of your peers.
Now it seems as though the NFL could use an honor council of their own. I’m a huge football fan, but I’m glad to see that the league is finally following through on its threats. The players, whether they like it or not, are public figures, role models and celebrities. And there’s a certain responsibility that comes with it.
