Owen Podcast Series: Project Pyramid with Prof. Bart Victor (Part 2 of 2)

This episode of the Owen Podcast Series is the second in a two-part series covering Vanderbilt’s Project Pyramid, an on-campus, student run organization that seeks to educate students on poverty alleviation and then empowers them to create and implement both local and international projects. We welcome Owen professor Bart Victor (and an audience of noisy birds) as we discuss the vanishing line between a business doing “well” and doing “good”, commonly referred to as the “Carnegie bargain.”

Owen Podcast Series: Owen Students Get Involved in Strategic Planning Initiative

OwenBloggers presents the first episode of the Owen Podcast Series and welcomes Owen alum Van Tucker. Van discusses “Project Be Bold,” a unique ideation process at Owen that incorporates the input of faculty members, alumni and current Owen students to make a series of large and small improvements to the school.

The brainstorming portion of the project is scheduled to last until early October, when a vetting process will begin, distilling the various ideas into a measurable action plan.

We will revisit the subject in the coming weeks to hear more about the specific ideas generated, as well as the vetting process.
