As I sit in Starbucks in the Philadelphia suburbs, I am kicking myself for forgetting that a crucial Philadelphia Eagles game is going on right now. You see, in my infinite wisdom, I scheduled the Philadelphia-area coffee break for today. It wouldn’t be so bad if I wasn’t a huge football fan who has been closely watching McNabb’s ACL injury and Garcia’s step-up performances. How could I possibly have made this mistake??
And while I haven’t had any visitors in the first 20 minutes, I am hoping a few prospective students might stop by. But if you’re home watching the big game, I totally understand. Or, come by during the half and I promise to answer your questions quicker than you can sing “Fly, Eagles Fly.” If you stay, I promise to give you scoring updates as often as you’d like. At least if no one stops by I can always blame it on Andy Reid (since everyone will blame him anyway if we don’t make the playoffs…)
PS: It’s currently 7-7 with five minutes left in the second quarter…
