Owen Podcast Series: B-School as an International Student

Hoang Lan Huyen Ton Nu (Lan Huyen for short) was born and raised in Vietnam. She studied and then worked in Singapore as an analytical manager in a marketing data consulting firm. She is concentrating in Finance and Operations. This summer, she will be in Austin, Texas to work as an Internship Senior Advisor in the finance department at Dell.

Owen Podcast Series: Ben Blackwell, Third Man Records

We at the Owen Podcast Series tried not to veer into “annoying fanboy” territory, but we got dangerously close as we welcomed Ben Blackwell, the Pinball Wizard and Director of Operations at Nashville’s illustrious Third Man Records, to the show. Ben, a music industry “lifer”, has been a drummer in The Dirtbombs since he was 17 and joined Jack White’s label to direct their vinyl production operations in 2009. He shares his opinions on vinyl’s current resurgence in popularity, the innovation that seems to constantly stream out of Third Man, and what we can expect from the label in 2011.
