Welcome back to “Show me your…” where Owen students show off the stuff that helps them survive at Owen. Today, Jeremy Bartlow (MBA 2012) gives us peek inside his iPhone and touts some of his favorite and most used apps.
#1: Most important application – Calendar
Most students live off of their calendars. As you can see, I stay busy, and the only way I can keep track of everything is by using my iPhone calendar.
It may seem obvious that email and calendar are great to have on your phone, but it definitely helps to have instant access. I receive group member emails at all hours of the night and it is helpful to be able proof something quickly without turning my computer on.
This awesome free application allows me to store 2+ gigabytes of data on a specific folder on my computer – that syncs with the web, AND my iPhone. This is awesome for sharing files. If someone wants a link to a presentation I created earlier in the day, I can send a link to download the file without opening up my computer. It is also great to refer back to class documents (i.e. syllabus).
Starbucks is right across the street! This app keeps my gift card charged and lets me accrue points with every purchase. I just earned a free drink today when I opened the app to take a screenshot.
#5 Online Banking & Bill Payments (Huge time savers)
Chase has a great app that allows me to deposit checks with my iPhone camera. This is a great way to keep banking with an out of town bank (Chase doesn’t have locations here).
A great way to stay up-to-date instantly on my portfolios. This app is clear and straightforward in getting me the info I need.
Just downloaded the Starbucks mobile app! (I have had my iphone for 3 days now so this awesome and helpful.)
Thanks guys!
